Residential and Commercial Loan Originator - Private Mortgage Department
This is a full-time remote role for a Commercial Loan Originator at Myers Capital Hawaii, LLC. The Commercial Loan Originator will be responsible for underwriting loans, originating mortgages, and facilitating finance processes on a day-to-day basis.

Residential and Commercial Mortgage Underwriter and closer
We are seeking an experienced Residential & Commercial Mortgage Underwriter with 5-10 years of experience in underwriting bridge loans, construction lending, and private money loans. This is a remote position, but the candidate must be based in Hawaii or the West Coast. Work hours must align with Hawaii business hours.
Key Responsibilities
-Analyze and underwrite commercial real estate loan applications, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and risk assessments.
-Evaluate borrower financials, credit reports, appraisals, and other relevant documentation.
-Assess project feasibility for construction and bridge loans, including budget reviews and draw schedules.
-Conduct due diligence on property valuations, market conditions, and potential risks.
-Collaborate with loan officers, processors, and legal teams to facilitate loan closings.
-Maintain knowledge of market trends, lending regulations, and underwriting best practices.
-Prepare commercial closing documents.
Qualifications & Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related field.
-5-10 years of experience in commercial mortgage underwriting, specifically in bridge loans, construction lending, and private money loans.
-Strong understanding of real estate investment structures, collateral-based lending, and risk assessment.

Loan Originator - Private Mortgage Department
We are looking to hire mortgage loan originators for our Private Lending Department. We are looking for performance-driven originators to develop a consistent stream of mortgage loans from borrowers, brokers, and realtors nationwide. We are looking for originators who are passionate and focused on developing strategic partnerships and boosting loan production nationwide. Candidates should have previous mortgage origination experience, preferably with non-owner, occupied residential investment properties with a focus on fix and flip, bridge, and rental property loans.
Job Type: Full-Time
Qualifications:
- Loan origination experience: Minimum 5 years
- No NMLS license needed
- Develops and maintains business relationships with new and repeat borrowers and referral partners including mortgage brokers, realtors, and developers to generate mortgage leads.
- Pre-qualify loans and review loan submission packages to determine credit approval.
- Provide customer service and loan support to in-house borrowers.
- Strong outside sales ability, communication, customer-service, people, and organizational skills.

While this is an inside sales position that does not require generating new leads, we prefer that candidates take the initiative to prospect their own leads to help meet production goals.

- Compiles data to complete loan files
- Identifies and orders supporting loan documents (appraisals, employment verifications, deposit verifications, etc.)
- Communicates with borrower to obtain missing documentation
- Submits files to Underwriting after reviewing for completeness
- Communicate efficiently and professionally with all vendors
- Responsible for final loan approval with quality and in a timely manner
- Work with your processing team to achieve set goals
- Reports detailed loan status to Operations Manager
